Their pre-elopement consultation stood out to us the most. They take the time to understand their clients’ stories and visions, then help them choose locations that feel truly theirs.

We also liked that their package covers so much already: a professional photographer, 4–6 hours of coverage, make-up and flowers, and more. If you want to elevate things (literally), they even have the option of a helicopter ride. 

They also have a knack for blending creativity and logistics. They have in-depth knowledge of Queenstown, Wanaka, Lake Hawea, and Glenorchy. This helps them guide clients to those alpine lakes or hidden mountain spots without the headache.

Their photography portfolio proves this. They capture both the emotion and the sweeping beauty of the surroundings effortlessly yet intentionally.

While speaking with clients, our team kept spotting the same message. People basically hopped on a flight, packed their outfits, and the Mountain Weddings crew handled the rest.

They’re sort of planners who seem to anticipate problems before they happen. It’s why couples kept talking about how smoothly everything ran, even with last-minute changes.

Compared to the other companies we’ve looked into, Simply Perfect Weddings has split its service offerings into design, coordination, and planning. 

It’s almost as if they knew some couples like to micromanage, while others would rather hand over the entire spreadsheet and run. 

If you want control in one area but backup in the others, you’ll probably love this setup.

Their consultations are also impressive. Two hours might not sound like much until you see what they pack into it: bugdteing, venue choices, catering trail, wet-weather contingencies, and more.

A big power card in their deck is Sarah Arkin. She isn’t just the director—she’s also the founding President and current Vice President of the Queenstown Wedding Association. 

With over 180 local vendors under that umbrella, it’s safe to assume she knows exactly who to call with whatever you need. 

Clients repeatedly mention that the vendor network saves them both stress and money, and yes, who doesn’t love a little insider pricing?

The only trade-off is that relying on partner vendors can sometimes limit super-niche or very unconventional requests. Not a dealbreaker, but still worth keeping in mind.

One of the first things that struck us was how inclusive they are. Couples in same-sex relationships have shared that they felt completely welcomed and supported. 

Their Amor package (the base offering) is already surprisingly generous. Photography, hair and makeup, full coordination, and on-the-day assistance are all built in.

From what we’ve seen in customer feedback, this attention to detail—handling even the smallest logistics like suit pressing, transport, and timing—has created a calm environment.

Even when unexpected situations arise, the team adapts smoothly. 

Their website also shows they know how important transparency is. Sample timelines, clear pricing, and detailed inclusions make it easy for couples to plan and compare.

That said, most packages are designed for up to six guests. Adding extra guests is possible with extra charges, but not every one of their ground locations can handle a larger group. 

So couples dreaming of a slightly bigger celebration may need to adjust their plans.

Of course, perfection comes at a price. Their packages lean toward the luxury end, so if you’re keeping an eye on budget, this may not be the first choice.
