How much does glazing cost in Hamilton?
1. Glass & Glazing Ltd

Address: 15 West Street, Frankton
Phone: +64 7 847 1911
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 4 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: Closed
Glass & Glazing Ltd has nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, which gives them a slight edge. This means they’ve worked through decades of weather shifts, design trends, and regulation updates.
It also stood out to us how far they’re willing to go for their clients. We came across someone who wanted a fancy LED-lit mirror.
The whole thing was tricky, but the team rolled up their sleeves and figured it out. They’ve coordinated with the client’s electrician, modified boards to accommodate power outlets, and even spray-painted to match tile colours.
What impressed us most was that none of this was technically their responsibility, but they still did it.
They do glass for both homes and businesses. Their portfolio includes everything from frameless shower screens in private homes to full commercial storefronts.
They also work with a broad range of glass types, like laminated, acoustic, and toughened. We liked how they seem to know when and where each is appropriate too.
That said, we heard a few mentions of slow responses from past clients. It might be because they’re often fully booked, so it’s worth noting.
Their knowledge and expertise were just what I needed
“Absolute five-star service. I needed a very specific glass for a strange project, their knowledge and expertise were just what I needed. The glass has been the perfect type and has done its job better than I ever thought. Thank you.”

Whole experience from the first initial contact to install was pleasant
A couple of the boys came over and got my mirror up perfectly. They explained the process and how it was going to be fixed onto brand-new tile. They came back like they said they would and got the job done. In fact, the whole experience from the first initial contact to install was pleasant, and the cost was very good. Would definitely use them again A+”

2. Peter Ryan Glass Repairs

Address: 5 Norris Ave, Te Rapa
Phone: +64 274 971 744
Business hours: Monday to Sunday: Open 24 hours
Peter Ryan Glass Repairs has worked on both homes and commercial buildings, and their 25 years in the business show it.
They offer a wide range of services and seem to really know everything. They even re-putty old timber woods, which most places won’t touch these days.
Another major plus is their mobile service. They come to you, so there’s no need to load a cracked pane into the back of your car and hope for the best.
A few people said they called after hours with broken glass, and the team was there quickly to board things up and sort a proper fix.
We also noticed that they’re open 24/7, which is super handy. One customer said their window was smashed on a Monday, the team was there the next day, and the new glass was installed by Wednesday. That’s quick by anyone’s standards.
The only catch is that they’re a small team. So during busy periods, they might be stretched a bit thin. Still, being fast and in demand is a good problem to have.
Highly recommend these guys for any window repair work you need done
“Awesome service from the team at PR Glass. We had a smashed window late Monday afternoon, gave the team a call, and they were out the next day to measure and board up the window for a replacement. By Wednesday morning, they’d given me a call to let me know the unit had arrived, and within the next hour or so, they’d installed it. Highly recommend these guys for any window repair work you need done. Thanks, team!”

3. City Glass Services Ltd

Phone: +64 7 856 5669
Business hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8 AM – 5 PM
- Friday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 12 PM
- Sunday: Closed
What makes City Glass Services Ltd stand out is that they don’t just install glass, they actually make it too. They manufacture their own line of windows and doors under the Fisher brand.
So, if you’re into a more tailored solution, they might be a good option.
Since they handle the whole process—manufacturing, supplying, and installing—we think choosing them can save you both money and headaches.
You’re not waiting on third parties or trying to figure out if something was the supplier’s fault or the installer’s. It’s all them.
They cover a lot, including glass repairs, replacements, and new installations. Plus, they give free quotes and measure on-site, which makes planning a bit easier.
When we spoke to some customers, most of them said positive things. One person mentioned how fast the service was, how clean the work site was left, and how pleasant the installer was to deal with.
That said, not everything we’ve heard was good. One customer had a bad experience with a cat door installation. He said the glass didn’t match what was quoted, and the company owner showed up twice without calling first.
By far the cheapest compared to other quotes we got
“We had our sliding door replaced, the result is amazing, and it has uplifted the look of our entire house. The guys who came in to fit it were super efficient and professional. Amazing customer service setting up quotes, etc! By far the cheapest compared to other quotes we got 👌🏼 Highly recommend”

I think the price was very reasonable
“Today, I called City Glass Services and told them that my aluminium sliding door could not be opened or closed, and the roller should be replaced. The lady who answered the phone immediately quoted the price. I think the price was very reasonable, so I asked her to send someone to repair it. At 2 pm, two handsome men arrived on time and finished work perfectly in less than an hour. Thanks to City Glass Services and these two professional handsome men.”

4. CM Glass

Address: 5 Norris Avenue, Te Rapa
Phone: +64 7 849 6554
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: Closed
CM Glass is the only one in the area actually making double and triple-glazed glass units on-site. That’s rare. Most other places just install them, but they build them from scratch.
They’re also not a huge team—just 12 people—but they seem to handle it well. Everything is cut and assembled with care, which means fewer defects and a better fit.
We also liked their retrofit service. If you’ve got old windows you don’t want to rip out, they can upgrade them with double glazing without changing the frames. It’s way cheaper and less messy than starting over.
They’re on call 24/7, so they’ll come out and fix your glasses at any time.
One customer even praised Brian, one of their glaziers, for being not only helpful but also informative. He clearly explained what happened and what needed to be done.
They also work on big commercial jobs and can handle safety glass, shopfronts, and laminated panels.
However, we heard from one person who asked for a quote, followed up, and never heard back from them. That’s a bit of a letdown. We’re guessing their small team and 24/7 work schedule means the admin side can get a bit swamped.
Professional, efficient and excellent service
“Professional, efficient and excellent service. Tracy and the team were very helpful with our small order. I was impressed with the level of care, even tho we had barely spent over $100. Highly recommend. Thank you!”

They go the extra yard to get things right
“Fantastic service. Excellent communication, professional and efficient. Commend Aaron in particular for his no-fuss approach and going the extra yard to get things right. Much appreciated. Recommend highly.”

5. Glasswise

Address: 1/183 Maui Street, Pukete
Phone: +64 508 445 277
Business hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8 AM – 5 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: Closed
Glasswise has been around since 2007. Paul, the guy who runs it, is trade-certified with experience both in New Zealand and the UK. That alone gave us some confidence.
One of their biggest perks seems to be their retroglaze system. They can turn your windows into double-glazed ones without ripping everything out.
They don’t stop at windows either. While browsing through their portfolio, we saw they also handle splashbacks, mirrors, custom showers, and more.
That versatility is a plus, especially if you’re planning a full home renovation or managing both residential and commercial projects. Having one company that can do it all can save time, cost, and coordination headaches.
Their free quotation can also save you a lot of hassle.
One story that stuck with us was when someone had gone with a different company years ago, regretted it, and came back to Glasswise.
Not only were they welcomed back with no hard feelings, but Paul followed up with them multiple times to make sure everything was going smoothly.
That said, we did hear from a person who left a voicemail and never got a call back. It seems to be a one-time thing, but it’s still something to consider.
Honest advice, clear communication, efficient, and they left no mess!
“Paul and his crew replaced all our single glazing with double glazing in the existing frames. They did a great job, and we noticed a difference from day 1, no more crying windows, and the house feels a lot more comfortable with these cold temperatures. We can highly recommend Glasswise, honest advice, clear communication, efficient, an eye for detail, and they left no mess! Thanks again, Paul and your crew!”

The team have done an excellent job!
“Paul and his team recently fitted 3 double glazing units at my residential property, and I’ve been reaping the benefits ever since! There has been a noticeable reduction in outside noise, no more buildup of condensation on the inside of the windows, and the new aluminium frames make all the difference. The team have done an excellent job and I have been recommending them ever since.”
