Located in Mount Maunganui, Sanctum Medi Spa already has the perfect vibes for the ultimate escape. Coming into their space reflects the same thing, with their clean treatment rooms and calming atmosphere despite the light chatter.
Their range of signature facial services is well-curated for various needs. For instance, their Relax Me facial is perfect for hydration with services such as gentle exfoliation, massage, and a nourishing mask.
The Pamper Me facial is also a nice touch, as it starts with a back massage before transitioning into a hydrating facial. It takes about 75 minutes to complete, but it’s the ideal choice for those who want a nice glow post-treatment.
The therapists themselves complete that experience, thanks to their hands-on approach and overall friendliness. They’re easy to contact as well for bookings, though availability isn’t the most flexible for new clients.
While the place is relaxing most of the time, there are occasional instances of noise disturbances from nearby rooms. It’s a rare case, though, and only likely due to the place being busier than usual.

For starters, they have an express peel facial, which is ideal for those who want a quick yet effective procedure.
There are also more advanced options like their Relax Facial Sculpting. This not only helps with skin texture and radiance but also helps lift and tone facial muscles. It’s a pretty popular option here for those who want noticeable results.
Their prices feel a little over the city’s average, so new clients may feel intimidated before committing. On the good side, there’s zero pressure to buy products or upsell treatments (sadly, most clinics tend to do this).
The attention to detail from the staff and therapists is also noteworthy. Clients we interviewed all agree that their professionals are personable and easy to vibe with, making them comfortable throughout the process.
If there were a downside, it’s that we’re hesitant to recommend the place as your go-to venue for other spa services. It’s just that services, like brows and massages, feel inconsistent when it comes to quality.
It can be a deal breaker for those who just want a one-stop shop.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere at Tranquillo Beauty Clinic – that typical calming experience you often get as you walk through a spa. With its boutique-like setting, it does feel premium, completing your ultimate spa experience.
Apart from the environment, they also won our favour with their range of basic facials and advanced therapies. We liked that each first-time client receives a full facial analysis, which helps them get matched with the right facial option.
For those with complex skin needs, we find their LEDelux facial to be a solid voice. This one uses infrared light to reduce signs of ageing. Another alternative is the Microdermabrasion facial, which is a deep exfoliation facial for scars and pigmentation.
While their IPL consultation is a separate service here at $61, we do find it worth the money – particularly for clients struggling with redness, uneven tone, and sun damage.
Unfortunately, while the prices are reasonable, we’re not happy about the unexpected charges that sometimes appear on the bill. These usually happen during treatments where the staff upsell inclusions into the facial.
We recommend sticking firmly only to what you’ve booked.

Refresh Beauty offers a wide range of services. Apart from facials, they also do massages, eyelash tinting, and manicures. We’re happy to note that service quality is consistently good, making them a great one-stop spa.
They offer a good range of facials, although there are no options for more advanced treatments or complex skin conditions. We liked their Mini Refresh facial, which only runs for 30 minutes to fit on a busy day easily.
But if you want the full facial therapy, they also have a Reinvigorate facial. We find it a good bang for your buck at $150 for a 90-minute session. Plus, it includes a back, neck, and shoulder massage.
Another standout thing about them is their personalised approach to treatments. This often leads to solid outcomes, as the majority of the clients we’ve interviewed all said they noticed that the glow had lasted for a long time.
However, since the advanced facial options are limited, we find it challenging to see them as a go-to choice for more serious, in-depth treatments. For basic facials, though, you can’t go wrong with an affordable yet effective option.

Led by a skilled facialist, it’s easy to see why Room of Beauty has become a premier choice for facials. They have a thoughtfully curated range of services, from eye treatments to facial sculpting.
Speaking of which, we really loved their FaceUp Sculptural facial. This one combines deep-tissue facial sculpting and lymphatic work to tone the face. At $195 for a 75-minute session, we find it a fairly priced option.
The quality of the service doesn’t stop at the technique. We also appreciate how well-rounded the overall care is – in fact, they even offer advice on diet and supplements, as well as home care routines to maintain the results.
Another reason they stand out is the calming environment of the place. The therapists themselves are well-spoken and warm – the treatment rooms are clean and free of any noise that can disrupt the session.
If you’re interested in their services, we totally recommend booking at least a week in advance. The high demand makes it difficult for clients to book appointments on short notice, so planning ahead is the best decision.
