We love how prompt they are. They’re often able to accommodate clients with same-day repairs.
Plus, in most cases, the turnaround is just within a couple of hours. The only time you may experience a delay is if they have to source out parts.
Speaking of which, they appear to struggle a bit when it comes to ordering replacement components. According to the shop, this is a supplier issue. Having a well-stocked inventory could’ve helped prevent this.
On the good side, we can tell from customer feedback that their solutions are durable. None of the clients we interviewed said they had to come back for a second time – the issue was already dealt with on the first visit.
Even the rates are favourable. Quotes are given upfront, and customers were happy to note that they honor their estimates. Based on their billing, clients also noted that there were no hidden fees that would’ve tainted their trust.

However, we felt that their follow-up communication could be improved. While their attitude is lovely and positive, the response is slow. Sometimes, they don’t follow up once a schedule is confirmed.
On the good side, during the repair of your unit, they provided email updates upon your request. They are prompt in the case, and customers have never had a complaint about the clarity of the progress.

The technicians at Hi-Tech impressed us, particularly since they’re NZQA and ESTA registered. This made us feel assured that they can handle a wide range of fixes, especially since they service almost every major brand.
The speed of service is one of their biggest advantages. According to customers, they can easily secure same-day booking and receive the repaired unit within 24 hours. Of course, if sourcing parts is necessary, the turnaround is a bit longer.
We absolutely loved their pricing too. As our team found, their repair fees cost about 30% less than most providers in Auckland. On top of that, the call-out fee is the same across all areas in New Zealand.
Speaking of which, they cover a wide range of service areas, going beyond Central and West suburbs. Across all locations, customers highlighted how efficient and punctual they are with the job.
The only area of worry we have is that there were a few clients whose units broke down immediately after repair. These are a small number of instances, but we’re sad to note that they were dismissive during these instances.

What makes their services even better is the favourable rates. They’re an affordable option, even for complex fixes that demand new parts. Quotes and billing are also transparent, eliminating any doubt of hidden fees.
According to most of the customers, their fixes lasted long enough until the unit had lived out its lifespan. However, there were a handful of cases where the repair didn’t hold for long, requiring a return visit.
On the good side, the business handles this issue well. It’s easy to communicate with them, and they would often provide advice on how to prevent the issue from coming back again.
Communication and customer service are up to standard. If you need constant updates, they can provide them seamlessly. If you prefer being contacted once the repair is done instead, they can do that too.

Axial Appliance is ideal for customers looking for reliable services. In general, they’re able to attend to urgent jobs within a day or two. While it’s not the fastest, this is just enough for landlords managing multiple properties.
Their sales for parts are pretty speedy, though. Customers can make an order and expect the new part within 24 hours.
We liked that the company uses high-quality parts, which ensures that fixes will last for a long time. In fact, none of the past customers we spoke with said that they had to return for an additional fix.
As for prices, we find their rates reasonable and fair considering the durability of their workmanship. It’s just in the median for citywide rates.
We value the positive interactions they maintain with customers as well. They’re friendly and supportive from initial inquiry to drop-off.
The only downside we can say about them is that they occasionally misdiagnose issues, leading to unnecessary diagnostic costs. Nonetheless, reports of this are very few.
